Please read the following terms & conditions carefully as they will tell you everything you need to know about the agreement you will enter into once you accept a quotation from EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas
- The plumbing work will be carried out during our normal working hours unless otherwise stated.
- Every care will be taken during this work, but the offer does not include:
I. Renewing flooring or other joinery work not specified.
II. Any necessary incidental redecoration following the proper execution of the work. - The plumbing or heating work will be carried out as quickly as possible in accordance with the specification which may be amended only upon written instruction prior to commencement of work, when the quotation will be adjusted accordingly.
- Where work requires passing through an outside wall EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that when filling the hole, this matches the existing wall finish, but exact matching cannot be guaranteed.
- It will be the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the general area around the area concerned with the agreed work is free of obstruction and properly swept or cleaned before any work commences. Any delays directly attributable to this clause may be a chargeable event at EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas’s standard hourly rates.
- The lifting of floor covering, including carpets and lino-tiles etc. may be necessary and the customer will accept that damage may occur in lifting and relaying flooring for which EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas cannot accept responsibility.
- The piping will be in approved tube, jointed and supported in accordance with EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas’s Company Standards. Water piping installed below ground floor or in roof spaces will be insulated where accessible. Piping will be concealed as far as possible but this will be at the discretion of EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas.
- EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas will remove all waste and unused materials. Redundant appliances remain the customer’s responsibility. EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas can arrange disposal of these items on request, for which an additional charge may be made.
- Workmanship is covered by a 100 day warranty unless advised otherwise. Materials etc. will all be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty from the date of fitting.
- EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas cannot be held responsible for strikes, lock-outs, industrial action, acts of God or other events which prevent the execution of the plumbing work. Where the date and/or time for works to be carried out is agreed by EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas with the Customer, then EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas shall use its best endeavours to ensure attendance on the date & at the time agreed. However, EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas accepts no liability in respect of the non-attendance or late attendance on site of the operative/engineer or for the late or non-delivery of materials.
- EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas cannot accept liability for damage to tiled or other surrounds which are removed as part of the work.
- Where a written estimate has been supplied to the Customer the total charge to the Customer referred to in the estimate should not exceed the actual cost by more than 10% but may be revised in the following circumstances:
I. If after submission of the estimate the Customer instructs EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas (whether orally or in writing) to carry out additional works not referred to in the estimate.
II. If after submission of the estimate, there is an increase in the price of materials.
III. If after submission of the estimate it is discovered that further works need to be carried out which were not anticipated when the estimate was prepared.
IV. If after submission of the estimate it is discovered that there was a manifest error when the estimate was prepared. - EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas shall not be under any obligation to provide an estimate to the Customer & shall only be bound by estimates given in writing to the Customer & signed by a duly authorised representative of EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas. EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas shall not be bound by any estimates given orally or in which manifest errors occur.
- The customer will have 7 days from the date of any quotation within which to accept. The price quoted will be held for a period of 14 days from the date of acceptance to allow for the completion of the work. Should the customer need to extend this period then it may be necessary to re-quote for the work.
- Any accepted quote requires a 50% deposit of the value of the materials/appliances by cash or cheque payable 14 days prior to the commencement of works. This is non-refundable if the customer subsequently cancels the order.
- Payment terms are strictly cash or cheque on the final day of work. EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas do not accept payment directly from insurance companies. Title to any goods, supplied by EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas to the Customer shall not pass to the Customer but shall be retained by EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas until payment in full for such goods has been made by the Customer to EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas.
- Any unsatisfactory workmanship notified and agreed in writing within 7 days of initial completion will be rectified free of charge. The customer shall afford EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas, and its insurers the opportunity of both inspecting such works and carrying out any necessary remedial works if appropriate. The Customer accepts that if they fail to notify EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas then EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas shall not be liable in respect of any defects in the works carried out
- Any delays directly attributable to other trades on-site that were not highlighted at the time of quoting may result in an increased number of billing hours over and above that quoted. This will always be discussed with the client ahead of any charge becoming applicable.
- Any parts supplied by the customer that are not to the required specifications for the work may result in further charges at our standard hourly rate for sourcing the correct parts.
- No liability is accepted for any issues that arise from damage to persons or property as a result of any un-authorised contact with EASON Plumbing, Heating & Gas tools and equipment. Please ensure anyone at the property are advised of the presence of a plumber and associated tools etc.
